The past had been good. The present, a little better. The future, hopefully, best.

That's one way to strive for. Bettering yourself, day by day, so that eventually the future would turn up as we have always hoped: perfect.

There's another way to live.

The past is irrelevant. The present is all important. The future is imaginary.

In this paradigm, the past is irrelevant in the sense that it can't accurately predict the present. You have the final say in it, by the process of conducting it in proper manner. Also, you can't live in the past, and the only real thing is now/present-moment, so obviously the present is all important.

The future is imaginary, because it is yet to arrive and however best we wish it to be or however hard we are striving towards a better/best version of it, it is not entirely in our hands. The situations and circumstances and the factor of chance/luck will dictate a certain probability to the possibilities unfolding, which are often unpredictable, even inexplicable.

So, forget the past. Stop imagining the future.

Live in the now/present moment.
When you think you know everything, you find out that you don't.
When you feel that you have figured out the future, you will realize that you haven't or can't.
There is nothing worth investing more time in than learning and the place to do it is now (present moment).
You are as wise as your willingness to learn. You are as enlightened as your ability to live in the present.
Rest, sleep or otherwise, is an integral part of life. It appears to be a waste of time, but, in fact, it is quite the opposite.
Without complementing work with sufficient Rest(sleep) you are treading a dangerous path, which probably leads to numerous undesirable effects.
Winning isn't everything; it's the only thing. Or is it?
What's more important than winning is winning continuously. While it is true that a mysterious force is governing the universe and the results are not always proportional to the efforts been put forth, still, a lot can be achieved via confidence and consistent hard work.
"When you want something, all the universe conspires to help you achieve it." But sometimes the universe holds something better than your 'want' waiting for you. You never know.
It is almost, always, exciting to venture into some new adventure. The word 'new' has with it a certain 'glow', at least for me. The freshness attached to the possibility of some new way, path, action, goal, direction, is in itself an attraction one's mind can hardly resist.

But something new should also be something useful, meaningful and compatible with our lifestyle, goal and style. Otherwise the 'new' would certainly and quickly turn into a 'temporary-failed-attempt'.
Be wise, with something new.
The Subconscious Mind has the power of inexplicable level. It governs us, mostly, as habits are what we are made of, with little control of the conscious mind.
Think, believe and act, so that your positive actions are embedded into your subconscious, and let the laws of the universe take over. It takes discipline to alter the subconscious, and it's not a day's work. It takes weeks, but it's worth it.
The infinite wisdom and power of the subconscious mind is too good of a tool to let lie in waste.
Talent is not everything. But it is something.

We all have our talents. Some of us have found it and some mastered it; while some people are just lost in the ocean of life. Whoever you are, remember that talent is not everything.

Just like knowing and doing are related but different, talent and hard work maybe related but certainly different. Only when talent and hard work merges, defining success can be reached.

Often, talents are wasted by lack of discipline; whereas Hard work is strengthened by discipline. Hence, Discipline is the true way to Success.
Sometimes, something or someone reminds us of someone or some incident of our past. At times the memory we are reminded of is sweet. Sometimes, it is not.
The brain remembers with association, hence the phenomenon of remembrance through something that happens or someone that we see is unavoidable.
What we hope for doesn't happen at times. We find ourselves at a bad place, if not the worst.
Something is better than nothing. Something better is probably better than that.
As long as we are moving forward along the intended path, it is okay.

What we do is more important than the result it produces. Or that we do is more important, because without attempt there can be no victory. Without trying there can be no flying.

What we know is merely potential, while what we do is kinetic. Action sounds better than knowledge.

So, let me start moving forward. To something better.
But what if I am good at multiple areas of interest? Or what if I am not good at assessing whether I am good at something?

Considering I am good at a particular field, what level of aspiration shall I have? Am I eyeing for unreachable goals or am I putting in too little work in the right direction?

There is lot on the plate at every moment. I have been ignoring the plate.
I lost and now everything changes. I am no longer in control.
Still a lot to come, but a wasted chance this was.
